לכן הקדם מגבר פונו סטייג' נכנס כחוליה מקשרת בין הפטיפון לבין המגבר כאשר למעשה הוא עושה דבר אחד מגביר את הסיגנל מהפטיפון למגבר
מגברי פונו צריכים להיות תואמים לסוג הראש המורכב בפטפון, יש שני סוגים נפוצים של ראשי פטפון:
הראשון: MOVING MAGNET שסימונו העולמי הוא MM והוא נקרא כך מכוון שבראש החלק שנע הינו המגנט
והשני: MOVING COIL שסימונו העולמי הוא MC והוא נקרא כך מכוון שהחלק הנע בראש הינו הסליל,
ראש מסוג זה לרוב יותר מיוחד ויקר {ואף טוב} יותר
היות והוא עובד על מתח נמוך מ MM אך כמו כל דבר טוב הוא מצריך יותר השקעה וזקוק לפונו רגיש יותר ולכיוון מיוחד וקשה

The immense acceptance of Vincent PHO-111 in the market prompted us to develop a new device that is suitable for meeting the greatest requirements.
And although the new premiumLine has just found its way, it was obvious to give the new Phono-Preamplifier the looks of the PremiumLine.
The PHO-8, like its younger brother PHO-111, was developed in Germany and inherited its good genes.

Opulent Components
The basic conception of PHO-8 comes from an external mains adapter.
However, as opposed to the trend followed by many providers, a standard wall power supply is not used here,
instead an externally coordinated mains adapter is developed, which is connected to a 5-pin DINplug
with the actual Phono part. Hereby, ripples and stray pick-up interference
through power and electricity supply does not anymore have any role.
How high did the expenses run here and which quality standards
were placed on the development alone of the mains adapter,
can be seen in the importance of 1.3 kg for power supply only.
This importance is not only due to high standards of the case and the 10 mm
strong aluminum front panel, but it also reflects the high quality of Vincent products.
The high-value soundproof components are not only responsible for the quality of the sound,
but the professional design and the best possible configuration of all the parts are also very convincing.
PHO-8 comes in a similar kind of case like that of the mains supply, while the front panel follows the design of
premiumLineThe concept of PHO-8 includes a MM and MC Phono-Preamplifier.
This function is switchable from the front panel through a switch.
By selecting high-quality parts for entry levels, the great characteristics of PHO-111 have once again been surpassed.
The technical data, particularly in the parameter “amplification” and “noise-current distance” showcase the best quality.
PHO-8 is a perfectly suitable addition to the premium Line for connecting to the disc player,
and follows Vincent's philosophy of preferring to make available one device rather than making a compromise by integrated solutions in the field of Phono.
